There’s a Lot of Talent at Atlantic Beach Elementary School…

…and there were 32 acts who took to the stage January 27  to prove it.

A sold-out event, the show ran for two hours with an intermission. The warm-up act was the Fletcher High School Step Team, whose experience and great vibe set the tone for the evening.   It was great fun to watch these Atlantic Beach Elementary School kids ranging from kindergarten to fifth grade get up on stage and do their artistic thing. It was amazing to see their confidence and how they truly connected with the audience. Their classmates from all grades shrieked and applauded and swayed to their music, dance routines, or songs as though they were at a celebrity concert!  Some kids played piano solos (even if their feet couldn’t touch the floor).

Kids sat clustered on the floor at the base of the stage and as the show went on, more and more moved from their seats to sit on the floor, at stage level, too.   The enthusiasm from the floor, and the entire room, really, clearly reached that stage and pumped those kids up.  It must have been really terrific for those students to hear the genuine excitement from the audience.

Alivia Waters, who also dances with Studio 1014, will be part of their dance team who’ll perform at the upcoming Summer Olympics.

Alivia Waters did some amazingly flexible moves with her body. Here she is tapping her feet at the audience!

Jack Hennessey, whose Justin Beiber moves might just as well have been the real thing as far as his fans were concerned!

The finale was performed by Emily Waters, also of Studio 1014 and performing in London during the Summer Olympics.

Some of the acts were kids who were accustomed to the stage while others were less experienced in front of an audience – but on Talent Show night, they were all true performers.
