JIM AND TABITHA FURYK FOUNDATION TREAT KIDS TO DAY AT PLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIP

When it comes to giving back to the community, Jim and Tabitha Furyk take it as their personal responsibility to make a difference in the community they have chosen as their home. Since moving to Ponte Vedra the Furyks have started The Jim and Tabitha Furyk Foundation and have been hard at work to come up with a direction for the Foundation that will have a positive impact in our community.

Every year during the week of the PLAYERS, Tabitha Furyk, along with the PGA TOUR Wive’s Association, hosts a benefit for handicapped children that allow the kids an opportunity to get out and experience a great time in a setting they rarely get to see or enjoy. Kids from the Wolfson’s Childrens Hospital and Ped’s Care get to come out to the tournament and hit balls at the PwC 1st Tee Challenge, have their pictures taken with PGA TOUR players and their wives and generally have the time of their lives!

Its not just the week of the tournament though that Jim and Tabitha are hard at work making a difference in the lives of these kids. While Jim is out on tour The Jim and Tabitha Furyk Foundation continues to raise both money and awareness for the needs of the kids who’s needs largely go unnoticed.
