A Sunday Brunch of…Pizza?

I awoke late on a Sunday morning craving one thing — breakfast pizza.

Where can you get pizza for breakfast? And no, I wasn’t craving a pepperoni pizza, or even a supreme pizza.

I wanted eggs, bacon…you know, breakfast pizza.

A quick look at my Facebook upon sitting up in bed greeted me with the page for Joseph’s Pizza, on the Atlantic Beach side of the Beaches Town Center. They had posted a photo of their brunch menu! And low and behold – breakfast pizza was listed.

I quickly dressed and awoke my dining the guest for the day. She was more than enthusiastic to join me when she found out that brunch would be on me.

Entering the beaches eatery around 11:15am, there was seating available for us inside. All outdoor tables were full as diners and shoppers were beginning their day by basking in the crisp air and blue sky.

All pizzas are freshly made, and take 30 minutes to cook, so I eagerly munched away on a plate of zeppolis while the pizza was prepared. They were free, courtesy of my handy Foursquare check-in app on my phone, which Joseph’s was using to entice users to dine with them.

Eventually, the pizza came.

It was piping hot, and fresh too. It had obviously just been pulled from the oven. Laden with eggs, cheese, bacon, all stuffed onto a homemade pizza crust, it was savory and delicious.

What a wonderful brunch.
