EVACUATION: Beaches residents ordered out as Matthew takes aim

Residents of Atlantic Beach, Neptune Beaches, and Jacksonville Beach have been ordered to leave the beaches in advance of devastating Hurricane Matthew. Jacksonville mayor Lenny Curry has signed a declaration of emergency for the entirety of Duval County. All schools are closed Thursday and Friday.
